As part of our IT team, your expertise and commitment will help facilitate our patient-focused mission by developing and enhancing technological solutions.

As a Director, AI Services, you will be responsible for leading the development and launch of innovative products that leverage state-of-the-art natural language generation technologies. You’ll work closely with business users, engineers, researchers, and designers, to identify user needs, define product vision, and deliver solutions that enhance patient care, clinical decision making, and medical device processes. Your work will enhance patient care, accelerate clinical trials, and boost manufacturing productivity through technology.

We’re seeking candidates with a background in AI strategy, product management, and direct people leadership. Local candidates preferred, but not required; travel will be based on business needs.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Help build an AI competency center of excellence.

  • Lead the development and implementation of AI strategies.

  • Manage cross-functional teams to drive innovation and service excellence.

  • Define product requirements, specifications, and roadmaps for generative AI products, such as text summarization, content creation, data augmentation, and conversational agents.

  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities and gaps in the AI healthcare domain.

  • Collaborate with engineers and researchers to prototype, test, and iterate AI models and features.

  • Communicate product strategy, value proposition, and progress to internal and external stakeholders, such as executives, investors, partners, and users.

  • Manage product lifecycle, feedback, and iterations to ensure customer satisfaction and product performance.

  • Collaborate with legal, policy, and engineering teams to establish ethical guidelines and frameworks for AI development.

What you’ll need (Required):

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business, or a related field + 14 years’ experience

  • Experience in AI technologies and trends.

  • A proven history of delivering user-centric, data-driven, and innovative products that solve real-world problems.

  • Experience leading IT/engineering teams, exceeding five members, as a people leader (not just project management)

  • Proven experience in AI, IT management, and service delivery.

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to drive high team performance.

  • A strong understanding of generative AI technologies (e.g., GPT-3, BERT, Transformer, and Seq2Seq models) and their applications and limitations.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

What else we look for (Preferred):

  • 5+ years of experience in product management (e.g., AI or NLP domain).

  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations and privacy standards

  • Ability to convey complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.

Aligning our overall business objectives with performance, we offer competitive salaries, performance-based incentives, and a wide variety of benefits programs to address the diverse individual needs of our employees and their families.

The base pay range for this position is $152,000 to $216,000 (highly experienced).

The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., geographic location, qualifications, education, prior experience). Applications will be accepted while this position is posted on our Careers website.
