Edwards Lifesciences Senior Market Access Manager (HEOR) - Mexico City in Mexico City, Mexico

The Market Access Manager in Edwards is required to have healthcare & medical device industry experience, fluent English, proven experience in health economics and cost effectiveness.

The purpose of the role:

  1. Lead the development of comprehensive clinical and cost effectiveness data and other payer related evaluations to secure optimal reimbursement for Edwards products while engaging with key stakeholders to define the best access pathways and procurement practices within the health care system to benefit patients, building an innovation-friendly business environment with high ethical standards and in partnership with Authorities.

  2. Lead the implementation and execution of country specific Market Access & Value programs in alignment with the Business Units imperatives in order to secure patients' access to Edwards Lifesciences products at optimal conditions.

  3. Engagement of Key Stakeholder from Healthcare System

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive clinical and cost effectiveness data and other payer related evaluations to secure optimal reimbursement for each of Edwards Lifesciences current products mainly in the structural heart and critical care monitoring areas

• Develop and deploy market access solutions and tools to field teams facilitating service provision optimization and capacity for Edwards products

• Build and keep an agenda with Public Organizations (IMSS ISSSTE, others), HMOs, HTA and hospitals to shape reimbursement and procurement environments.

• Work in collaboration with the EMEACLA Public Affairs teams to secure that the LATAM region needs and perspectives are timely factor in PA strategies

• Ensure optimal Edwards representation in the local industry organizations - AMID.

• Other incidental duties: mandatory trainings, personal development, etc

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in related fields: economics, statistics, engineering, administration, public policy..

10 years years experience of previous related experience is required

• Experience in health economics - math models & budget impact analysis is required

• Previous health economics experience is required.

• Experience in dealing with Mexican government bodies

Additional Skills:

• Strong competence and understanding of economic modelling, Budget impact, burden of diseases;

• Knowledge of Mexican healthcare system and policies;

• Competence in understanding external environment related to payers and HTA agencies requirements when related to the assessment of diseases and therapies;

• Proven successful project management skills with ability to lead successfully projects and teams in a local as well as international, fast pace matrix environment;

• Good problem-solving, critical thinking and analytic skills;

• Strong written and verbal communicator with a high standard of written and spoken English;

• Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization;

• Must be able to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams and key contact representing the organization on contracts or projects;

• Interested in Medical Technologies and the evolution of market access, evidence generation, etc.;

• Recognized as an expert in own area with specialized depth and breadth of expertise with the ability to leverage global resources in support of the Mexican Market Access agenda;

• Strict attention to detail;

• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment;

• Ability to represent leadership on projects within a specific area interfacing with project managers and cross-functional team;

• Adhere to all EHS rules and requirements and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control.
