Edwards Lifesciences Sr Engr, Process, Critical Care in Nave 25, Dominican Republic

Provides support for manufacturing processes, validation and implementation of changes in processes and products, updating manufacturing methods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, validate and guarantee the implementation of opportunities to optimize / improve the processes of manufacturing operations including the use of engineering methods (for example, Six Sigma and Lean methods) and ensure that equipment, tools, etc. comply with the standards.

• Develop complex experiments and tests (including writing and execution of protocols) to qualify and validate manufacturing processes; analyze results, make recommendations and develop reports

• Ensure that the processes under your property comply with current practices through the process of change control.

• Analyze and solve complex manufacturing and compliance problems (for example, CAPA, non-conformities, audit observations ).

• Develop and implement training and documentation materials (for example, work instructions) for production in order to allow the uninterrupted transfer of knowledge of the manufacturing processes and projects.

• Identify, promote opportunities for the redesign / design of basic equipment, tools, accessories, etc. to improve manufacturing processes

• Supervise manufacturing support tasks, ensure compliance; give instructions to the technicians about conducting tests; train technicians and provide feedback; and coordinate the technical work

• Other additional tasks may be assigned by the area leader.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in in Electronic Engineering, Mechanics, Mechatronics, Industrial, Chemistry, Industrial Design or other related field, 4 Years years experience of previous experience Required or

Master's Degree or equivalent in in Electronic Engineering, Mechanics, Mechatronics, Industrial, Chemistry, Industrial Design or other related field, 3 years years experience of previous experience Required or

Ph.D. or equivalent in in Electronic Engineering, Mechanics, Mechatronics, Industrial, Chemistry, Industrial Design or other related fieldno experience Required

CAD experience Preferred

Previous experience working with laboratory / industrial equipment Preferred

Additional Skills:

• Good computer skills in the use of MS Office Suite

• Strong documentation, communication (for example, written and verbal) and interpersonal relationship skills, including consulting skills and relationship management

• Proven knowledge of statistical techniques

• Substantial understanding and knowledge of principles, theories and concepts relevant to Engineering

• Strong problem solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills

• Strong knowledge of the processes and equipment used in the assigned work.

• Strict attention to detail.

• Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels.

• Ability to manage competitive priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work in a team environment, including the ability to manage suppliers and project stakeholders.

• Ability to build productive internal / external productive relationships.
