Edwards Lifesciences Business Systems Architect (Based in Colombia or Mexico) in Remote, Mexico
Edwards Lifesciences is looking for a JD Edwards expert (SME) to join a truly global team. The architect will identify business needs and determine solutions to business problems. Responsible for supporting, implementing, and system maintenance for Finance and Distribution applications.
Key Responsibilities
Be an autonomous Subject Matter Expert (SME) in business processes in the area of responsibility (Finance, Sales and Distribution). Lead efforts to reengineer and optimize business processes and systems
Lead, identify, design and implement information systems to meet business process requirements
Design, configure, and oversee implementation of end-to-end integrated systems
Lead and/or manage medium to larger sized projects / enhancements
Configure and test systems to execute features, integration, and reporting
Empower users and super-users (through training and knowledge transfer) to leverage IT systems for business process automation and optimization
Document and develop in-depth knowledge of applications and interfaces used to support business processes
Serve as liaison between business process owners in Business Units, Functional Groups, Regions and IT
Work with stakeholders in developing ROI based business cases for enhancements and small projects
Provide mentorship to lower level BSAs
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or related field, 8 years of experience (previous Sr Business Systems Analyst role Required)
Master's Degree or Equivalent in Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or related field, 6 years of experience (Sr Business Systems Analyst role Preferred)
Working knowledge of ERP systems, Oracle JDE preferred
Experience managing medium to large IT projects

Experience with SQL queries
Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to analyze existing business processes, systems, and workflows relating to the specific business organization
Strong interpersonal relations written & verbal communication skills
Ability to interpret and define business user requirements into detailed specifications
Experience in projects management and participating in IT projects
Results-oriented mindset (high sense of urgency, determination, tenacity, etc.)
Strong ability to manage and deal with different cultures and nationalities
Experience working in a global business environment – a plus
