Edwards Lifesciences Senior Manager, APAC Strategy in Singapore

Key Responsibilities :

  • Identify, prioritize, and lead new initiatives, collaborate and communicate with relevant stakeholders & teams, develop business cases and determine market trends to substantiate long-term prospects, determine the feasibility of business development, hands on execution to upstream marketing and new product development, perform economic analyses on new or improved product opportunities.

  • Serve in an advisory role to APAC Strategy Lead and management, provide guidance to project teams to execute enterprise-level projects, initiatives and/or programs.

  • Develop and disseminate information on a continuous concerning the fulfillment of project goals and objectives.

  • Conduct market research and feasibility studies to analyze the viability of alternative business development and market opportunities.

  • Collect, compile, verify and analyze financial, competitive and other information about potential business partners; new market, products and services; or other business opportunities so that senior management has accurate and timely information for making strategic and operational decisions.

  • Responsible for key business development initiatives.

  • Perform projects of complex scope.

  • Develop new processes to meet project needs, and for designing projects to suit the financial, operating, legal, regulatory and operating criteria elements of a project.

  • Evaluate strategic business opportunities, oversee market analysis, monitors industry intelligence, work closely with Business Units to explore organic growth options, understand deeply on strategy execution to further address continuous high growth of business.

  • Drive continuous improvement of Strategy program/project management capabilities through best practices and governance processes.

  • Other incidental duties.

Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor's Degree required.

  • Master's Degree or equivalent Preferred.

  • Minimum 12 years years experience of professional experience with excellent business and strategy development and hands-on Sales, Marketing, and Commercial areas in Medical device, Pharmaceutical and Lifesciences/Healthcare industry Required.

Additional Skills :

  • Excellent knowledge and experience in market research projects, consolidating internal thoughts to compose RFP, assess external market research companies, incorporate findings from market research to 'make the market' with long term plan.

  • Expert understanding and interpretation of complicated market dynamics, identify and quantify market potential, build business case with both business and financial analysis skills.

  • Able to work in a matrix environment, with proven stakeholder management experience in multi-national organization.

  • Strong business acumen and analytic mindset.

  • Good team player, self-motivated, result oriented, problem solver with strong ownership and leadership skills. Proven successful project management skills with experience leading initiatives across middle and upper management.

  • Ability to listen to stakeholders, discover unmet needs, develop strong rapport with audience, and be customer focused. Develop effective relationships and leverage them to drive change.

  • Expert understanding and interpretation of complicated market dynamics with the ability to identify and quantify market potential and build business case with both business and financial analysis skills. In depth understanding of procedures while looking beyond existing methodologies and own discipline to define and resolve complex problems.

  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills including high discretion/judgment in decision making and strict attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including influencing and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives. Good command of spoken and written English.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related tools and systems.

  • Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control.
